I'd just like to say

I love this song.

As we British say, Good Shit

So we begin with a nice, classic, fragmented, slow introduction. Admittedly it's not entirely your own work, but you've expanded on an original theme - a very wise move, because it's absolutely brilliant. Yeah, phat beats; but when we reach 1:20, everything is in the mix, and it's rather nice. A little meh, but nice.

To be able to hold back on the main melody and THEN smack the listener around the ears with the sheer awesomeness of it with a very tight and neat drop is quite simply lush, and music to my ears; if you'll pardon the pun.

Otherwise, it's got both your style and the original artist, and is an excellent reimagining. Neat, tidy and well made. Not thumping trance, and not pounding drum and bass. While it might 'lack' a little in terms of that, it creates an overall better experience. Although I do think it could have benefitted from more 'pounding beatz' to be utterly honest.

Still, can't have everything. Love the sitar.

Best song on Newgrounds

Don't tell Waterflame, but I fucking love this song. I really, really do.

The sheer driving force of it, techno, classic DnB rhythm - it's just so sick!

I would absolutely love a full three minute version someday. Seriously, drop me a PM if you ever think about it, hell - I'd pay for it.

hopeku responds:

hahahaha I guess he doesn't give a fuck but thanks, this is really appreciated ;)

I don't think i'll make a 3min long version but keep on coming on my profile. I'll add more stuff soon!

Another classic

While it's not exactly my kinda thing, I'm much more into your orchestral epics and darkish trance, there's no denying that this has that certain 'Waterflame effect' about it - a happy, uplifting and overall excellently crafted song.

And that is an extremely superior beat at 0:57 and onwards.

One criticism I do have is the last two minutes or so, barring the final 30 seconds. It's very much the same as the rest of the track - normally a perfectly good thing, but the constant melody begins to wear thin and lose pace. But it's a minor fault and you're still getting a 10.

Always a pleasure to review - especially when I get a response :D

Waterflame responds:

thank you! i agree actually on your criticicm o_O should have dropped the final go at it. i wanted to have a variation at the ending, but it sounded to off since its just introduced in the intro in another way. thanks for the review!

Fuck!

Around 30 seconds that is some damn fine beatage; I heart it majorly

Once again, keep that shit up. I want another album soon sir!

Waterflame responds:

damn fine beatage, haha. splendid.
im on it!
thanks :D

Good work

Moonlight sonata with lyrics? Not too shabby an idea.

A stirring song anyway, and coupled with your clean and clear voice it can't really go wrong. I really liked the way you didn't go too over the top, and stuck with the original feel of Beethoven's subtlety. Or I'm just bullshitting.

In any case, a modern take on a song from the 1800's. Damn fine work. Only real problem is that I feel the extra piece of raised vocal at 3:45ish feels unnecessary, but it's a minor stain on a fine piece.

Best song on the album

And most likely the best song on NG.

Well sized beats, a good pace and a fantastic melody at 1:00. A hook of that quality is essentially, the dog's testicles.

And a nice, long introduction, reminiscent of Pendulum and Sub Focus? Damn son, you've got skills.

By the nine divines!
